Oh my goodness, I feel like last week flew by with the music program and Valentine's day. I will try to fit everything in!
The kiddos had been working really hard to put together their music program all week and their hard work paid off for all their families Thursday night. On Thursday, they performed their program three times and each time got better. Since I got the privilege I have no pictures but once I can get a hold of some I will post some.
Last Friday, we had our first ever Olympics to celebrate the real opening ceremonies. I don't know who had more fun, me or the kids. I am sad that our parents couldn't join us but we were a little crowded with just our friends.
The Valentine's party was Friday at the end of the day and all the kids kept asking all day was when was the party. The kids got to pass out their Valentines, eat candy, eat some yummy snacks, and play some minute to win it games. I loved seeing all the parents their to support their kids during this party!

100th Day of School on Friday, January 31
100th Day of School Information
Just a friendly reminder that our 100th day of school is next Friday, January 31. We will be doing several activities that help celebrate the day .
100 of something collection
On the 100th day of school, I would like each student to bring a collection of 100 things to display on their desks. Some example collections might be 100 buttons on a necklace, 100 hair bows, 100 crayons glued to construction paper, or 100 pieces of cereal in a jar. Your student can display their collection any way they choose as long as it will fit on their desks. For more ideas you can google “100 day collections”. Some of the ideas are displayed really neat. Collections may be brought in any day next week.
Come see our Collections
We would like to invite our families to come view our 100 day collections at the end of the day on Friday, January 31 at 2:45. We will read a story about 100 and then tour the collections with our families.
Dress like you’re 100
This is just a reminder that your student may dress like they are 100 years old on Friday. Last year we had friends that painted their hair, had fake beards, and walked with walkers. Feel free to go all out if you choose! I can’t wait to see all these cute kids dressed up.
Soil Conservation Poster Winner!!!
Last night, I got the honor to watch one of our friends win the 3rd prize award for the Kindergarten-1st grade division for the Geary County Soil Conservation poster contest. Congrats to Aeren!!!

Our class since break
It has been a while since I posted. Now that I feel like I'm really getting back into the swing of things. I feel like I can post!!
Today in reading we spelled words using shaving cream on their desks. The kids loved it (and the mess).
We also filled our SPARKLE jar this week!! The students have been doing such a great job in class and chose to have a movie party. They voted to watch the cute movie Monsters University. They loved it and got to enjoy popcorn and juice during the film.
Last we made snowmen and this is our hallway display!
I hope you are enjoying being back in school. I know I am!!! Enjoy your three day weekend to help celebrate Martin Luther King Jr.
